Miracle cure: Here’s how you get rid of phlegm and stubborn coughing in just one night!

Influenza has struck with full force in the US. Fever, headaches, muscle aches, throat pain and coughing are just a few of the symptoms of influenza, reports CNN.

If you’re experiencing some of the milder symptoms, then a couple of painkillers might bring you a little relief, but unfortunately it won’t help if you’re suffering with a cough.

At the pharmacy there are a multitude of different medicines and tablets you can buy to relieve a stubborn cough, but there are also other solutions. Solutions that are both cheaper and natural, so that you don’t have to resort to pills and medicine that often have a lot of sugar in them.

The miracle cure I’m going to share with you is called ginger wraps, and is very effective against coughs, especially in children.

Ingredients:

• 1 tbsp fresh ginger

• 1 tbsp ecological honey

• 1 tbsp olive oil

• 1 tbsp flour

• Adhesive tape

• Gauze

Method:

1. Mix the honey and flour

2. Add the olive oil and fresh ginger. Mix well until you get a spreadable – but not too runny – paste. If the mixture feels too runny, just add more flour

3. Spread the paste across your chest and set it in place with the gauze and adhesive tape

For children, you should leave the compress in place for three hours, before they go to bed. For adults, the compress can stay in place overnight.

Ginger activates the endocrine system in the body, which can make you sweat more than normal, but it’s nothing to worry about.

Although ginger is completely harmless, it may be good to test a little of the paste on the skin before using this compress, because some people, especially children, may have extra sensitive skin.

Ginger has long been used across the world for its healing properties, something that even researchers have been able to prove.

It can be used to combat illnesses, for its anti-inflammatory properties and against heart and lung diseases.

One mom, Rachel Lim, tested this remedy on her son, and wrote about how well it worked.

She swapped olive oil for coconut oil, which worked just as well. Her son felt much better after just four hours, writes The Asian Parent.
